The purpose of study was to know whether there be any relationship between the
I.Q. and the dental caries experience. The subject of study were two hundred and
twenty elementary school pupils of the second grade. The 1.0. was examined in terms
of verbal ability, pictorial grouping and figure grouping. The dental caries experience
was examined in terms of dDMfF. The relationship between them was analyzed using
Pearson's correlation coefficient.
1. I.Q. had weak positive correlation with dfk rate (0.1111, p<0.05).
2. The verbal ability had weak positive correlation with 65 rate(0.1363, p<0.05).
3. The pictorial grouping had weak positive correlation with dDMfF rate (0.1128,
p<0.05).
